LookUP are proud to host a large MC battle on April 17 at the Loft Bar (UTS) in Sydney. We’ve got $250 cash for the winner, as well as a $100 gift voucher from hiphop speciality store Soul Clap Records and plenty of free bottles of spirits from Bacardi as well as other prizes on the night. Below is all the information you need for the night - remember it is FREE ENTRY for both spectators and entrants, hope to see you there.
If you want to enter the battle, you need to register before it starts. Registered MCs will be kept secret until the night of the battle.

Your entry will be confirmed via e-mail by April 16. Alternatively, you can sign up to battle on the night at Loft Bar between 7:00 and 8:00pm. No entries after this time will be permitted.
All entrants must be ready to start at 8:30pm sharp. Anyone not around when their name is called out will be automatically disqualified.
To enter the Loft Bar, head to Broadway (near Central station), opposite the Clare Hotel there is an optical shop. Next to this shop there is a passageway that leads to the Loft Bar. Here is a map:
The challenge to find Sydney’s best battle MC will take place like this:
Qualifying Round
During this round, all MCs will be required to freestyle for 45 seconds, proving to the crowd and the judges their ability to control the microphone, control the stage, and freestyle effectively. The top 16 MCs from this round will pass through into the battle rounds.
Battle - Round 1
The first round of battles will comprise of 2 rounds for each battle, with each MC getting 45 seconds per round to diss their opponent.
Battle - Round 2
The second round of battles, like the first, will comprise of 2 rounds for each battle, with each MC getting 45 seconds per round to diss their opponent.
Battle - Round 3
With 4 MCs remaining, the battles will comprise of 3 rounds for each battle, with each MC getting 45 seconds per round to diss their opponent.
Grand Finale Battle
The winner of the FEEDING TIME MC BATTLE will be decided via 3 rounds, with each MC getting 45 seconds per round to diss their opponent.
