Started writing beat loops on software and MCing in early 1998 before buying my first MPC 2000xl in 2004.
Played regular gigs at Melbourne venues including The Workshop, The Evelyn, The Laundry, First Floor and others. Released an EP and single that caught high rotation on JJJ and Nova. Acts I worked aside include TZU, Mantra, Illzilla, DJ Bacon, Liones & MC Que, Wasabi and many more.
Today Calski is performing at Hip Hop events and producing beats for Brisbane local MC’s Impossible Odds, Rainman, Sydney crew Bingethinkers and more. New Jersey MC Shawn Lov has recently added Calski beats to his catalogue.
Calski rocks the MPC at bboy jams and comps all over Brisbane, representing with Elements Collective.
Performances since early 2000’s have been plenty throughout the country including The Herd National Tour 2011, Battle City 2010, TZU Computer Love Tour 2010, Stylin’ Up 2009 and more.
Calski won the 2010 Q Song Hip-Hop/ Urban Award for his production on ‘Soul of the Troubadour’ performed by Impossible Odds.
Calski is set to release his debut production album ‘Love Drive Commission’. The LP features guest spots by Dialetrix, Rainman, Tommy Illfigga, Rinse, DJ Butcher, DJ 2Buck and more.
